Local feature matching finds similar areas in given images. This project aims is to develop a good pipeline to identify and match similar features in images. Scale Invariant Feature Transform(SIFT) along with Harris corner detector and Nearest Neighbour Distance Ratio (NNDR) test are used to do the same. Potential areas of application are panaroma generation, feature identification, object detection and tracking, etc.
