Pay on the Go is an android app that my friend and I created in the Global Payments hackathon conducted in Jan 2016 here in Atlanta. It is a simple solution where the user need not take his smartphone out of his pocket to pay at a retail store. The user’s phone receives a notification from Google’s cloud messaging system about the bill details. Once the phone gets the notification it reads the bill aloud. The user then needs to tap his volume button to approve the payment. If the user doesn’t react to the message within 30 seconds, the transaction is declined. This app was designed with an aim to simplify the process of mobile payments.
